Never, never sell your horse. If you need to, because we all know how life can throw us loops, do your best to make sure he
goes to a good permanent home. Draw up a contract and have it signed and notarized that the horse will never be sold. Inculde
a buy-back clause that will give you first chance to buy the horse back if they need to sell it.
Never, never breed your mare. There are plenty of "Pro's" out there raising horses that there should never be a
shortage. There are so many nice horses that need homes there is no reason why you should have to breed your mare. It is actually
cheaper to buy foals than it is to raise them. Plus, you know exactly what you are getting instead of hoping for a certain
color or gait or sex.
